Miso Butter Corn Ribs
Corn gets the rib treatment with a rich miso butter that seeps into every charred edge. Finished with scallions and a hit of sesame, it’s simple, savory, and just a little unexpected.
Ingredients
Main
Fresh corn, halved and quartered lengthwise into “ribs”
Softened butter1/4 cup
White or yellow miso1 tbsp
Algae Cooking Club Shiitake Mushroom Oil2 tsp
Salt and pepper to taste
Scallions, sliced into thin strands, for garnish
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Step 1
Preheat grill or cast iron pan over medium heat.
Step 2
While the grill heats, mix together the butter, miso, mushroom oil, salt, and pepper.
Step 3
Grill the corn ribs until lightly charred and tender, brushing with the miso butter as they cook.
Step 4
To serve, finish with more miso butter, sliced scallions, and sesame seeds.
