Charred Garlic Scape Labneh Dip
Charred garlic scapes bring a deep, smoky complexity to this creamy labneh dip, balanced by a drizzle of mushroom oil and a bright squeeze of lemon. Served with warm flatbread, it’s an understated yet perfect way start to any summer spread.

Bunch garlic scapes
Algae Cooking Club Neutral Oil
Algae Cooking Club Shiitake Mushroom Oil
Labneh3/4 cup
Salt, to taste
Lemon, to finish
Grilled flatbread, to serve
Step 1
Toss garlic scapes with algae cooking club neutral oil and salt, and grill until charred and tender.
Step 2
Immediately drizzle algae cooking club mushroom oil over the hot garlic scapes.
Step 3
Taste and salt.
Step 4
Allow to cool slightly and then roughly chop.
Step 5
Spread the labneh in an even layer in a bowl or dish with high sides.
Step 6
Add the chopped garlic scapes, more mushroom oil, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Step 7
Serve with grilled flatbread.
