WELCOME TO THE CLUB

We think it's time for algae to make its culinary emergence. It's one of those rare ingredients that checks all the boxes: making food tastier, being of the highest quality, and being better for the planet.

Just as important as the ingredient, Algae Cooking Club is a community that celebrates what we love so much about cooking: staying curious, experimenting with new ingredients, and, most importantly, having fun in the kitchen.

Algae

Microalgae, big potential

Many cooking oils are still sourced from industrial farming methods, while climate change is radically reducing crop yields. An estimated 1.4 billion acres of new farmland will be needed to feed a growing world.

Algae offers an exciting alternative. Instead of waiting entire seasons to harvest, algae has the potential to produce high-quality fats, proteins, and nutrients in a matter of days with a fraction of the land, water, and carbon needed, without sacrificing flavor and quality.

Bottle

Infinitely Recyclable Aluminum Bottle

Sustainable yet functional, aluminum can be infinitely recycled and boasts the highest recycling rate compared to both glass and plastic. Functionality was not sacrificed; we engineered our bottle to include an insert for a controlled pour.

Process

THE PURITY OF FERMENTATION

No pesticides, no chemicals, no blending—the process is similar to brewing beer or fermenting wine. Instead of using yeast, we use algae because it is where plant-based oils originated.

There are two groups of algae: macroalgae, such as kelp or seaweed, and microalgae, comprising tiny single-cell organisms. Microalgae are used because they can efficiently produce an unparalleled purity of Omega-9, fats that are good for cooking and good for you.
