Garlic Lemon Calabrian Chili Oil
This Garlic Lemon Calabrian Chili Oil by Rachel DiNuzio is a bold and flavorful infusion made with heart-healthy algae oil.
Ingredients
Main
Smashed garlic6 cloves
Lemon zest5 large strips
Chopped Calabrian chili2 tbsp
Algae oil1 cup
Step 1
Add the garlic, lemon, and oil to a pot and cook over low until lemon peels start to curl and garlic takes on the slightest color, 20 minutes.
Step 2
Add the Calabrian chilis and cook for another 15-20 minutes.
Step 3
Remove from heat and let the oil cool with the garlic, lemon, and chili.
Step 4
Strain out solids and store in fridge for 2-4 weeks.
